| With the rapid development of informationalization , great changes have taken place in education, including instructional method content and ideological concept and so on. Facing the challenges both from education system and informationalization society, we have to pay more attention to training information literacy of college students, especial those in normal universities who will be teachers in primary and middle schools in the future. The level of their information literacy will affect the quality of basic education and training innovative talents . Information literacy education of normal school students in backward district like Tibetan Autonomous Province has practical significance in reducing the wide digital gap and education quality between the western China and the east developed districts of China.The study is based on the clear meaning of information literacy and the special nature of the Tibetan Normal School students, we conducted a survey on the situation of the Tibetan Normal School students'information literacy and factors affecting the students'information literacy. Altogether 300 Tibetan students are investigated through questionnaires, using Excel and SPSS for statistical analysis of survey data.The results are as follows:1.Tibetan Normal School Students have low quality of information literacy overall , specifically, the majority of the students have a strong information awareness and information morality , but their information knowledge and information capabilities are of very low level.2. Students of different Nationalities, different birthplaces, different grades in information literacy have a significant difference; students of different genders, and majors in information literacy have no significant difference.3. About the factors affecting Tibetan Normal School students'information literacy , the school environment, teachers, social and educational background of information have certain impact on the information literacy of the students, especially the school environment, teachers and teachers'information literacy level have important implications.According to the situation of Tibetan Normal School students'information Literacy.
