The construction of a socialist modernized country with Chinese characteristics demands the powerful support of socialist core value system. The traditional culture of the Chinese nation is one of the important components of socialist core value system. The leading position of educational Administrative Departments in educational system determines its important responsibilities in carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. This article is composed of four parts.The first part explains the significance of carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, which consists of three parts. The first part points out that along with the intercommunications of cultural traditions of all countries and nations, in the age of globalization, especially the inrush of western industrial civilization thought, crisis and challenges have been brought in carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. The second part emphasizes that the large amount of simple-life philosophy in the traditional culture of the Chinese nation has positive pushing effects for constructing developed socialist market economy. The third part discusses that the traditional culture of the Chinese nation has great significance for constructing a harmonious society with orderly structure and reasonable relationships of man and man, of man and society and of man and nature.The second part discusses the responsibilities of educational Administrative Departments in carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, which consists of three parts. The first part discusses that educational administrative departments are the main power to carry on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. The second part introduces that the construction of socialist core value system provides rare opportunities for educational Administrative Departments to carry on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. The third part introduces the beneficial experiences from educational administrative departments of other countries in carrying out their traditional culture. The third part analyzes the present status of our country's educational Administrative Departments in carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and existing problems, which consists of three parts. The first part expounds that great hopes and supports have been given by party and government departments and all society to the work of carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. The second part introduces the work of carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, carried out by educational Administrative Departments, and experiences gained from it. The third part analyzes the problems and difficulties, faced by educational Administrative Departments at present, in carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.The fourth part puts forward the countermeasures and steps for educational Administrative Departments to further carry on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation well, which consists of six parts. The first part puts forward that the establishment of related policies should be strengthened. The second part puts forward that the reform of educational system should be put forward to construct favorable guarantee mechanism. The third part puts forward that the class hours of the courses concerning the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and the publication volume of related teaching material should be increased during curriculum reform. The fourth part explores the methods for carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, which are easy to be accepted by students. The fifth part puts forward that qualified teaching staff with the sense of national pride and excellent traditional cultural quality should be cultivated. The sixth part puts forward that we should integrate the social resources, and bring the power of public organizations and news media into play, and organize and carry out rich and colorful activities inside and outside of campus, to exert a gradual influence on students of traditional culture.In a word, during the modernization construction of our country, great attention must be paid to the construction of cultural system, which can not be realized without researching and carrying on the traditional culture of the Chinese nation. The educational administrative departments in China play an irreplaceable role in this process. I believe that educational administrative departments, by researching and discussing curriculum reform carefully, are able to strengthen the education of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and make contributions to completely carrying out the scientific development view and constructing a harmonious society.
