Research On Protection Of University Students' Rights In Building Harmonious Campus

Building a harmonious socialist society is the mainstream of the contemporary era. Institutions of higher education, as an important part of the community, should also pay attention to the building of harmony. This paper gives the definitions of a harmonious campus and University Students' rights, further analyzes the status of University Students' rights and their reasons, and puts forward some solutions.The paper expounds the definitions of a harmonious campus and University Students' rights and the significance of vindicating the legitimate rights of University Students in the harmonious campus. In the harmonious campus we must achieve an institutional system of culture, students and teachers, facilities, departments and the concept of freedom, full development, positive interaction and overall optimization. University Students' rights are an important part of the campus. Vindicating the legitimate rights of University Students will help to improve their law concept and moral level, and achieve the "education" purpose in the harmonious campus, promote the legitimate management process of higher education and provide coordinated management system for building harmonious campus; promote the Higher Institute improve educational management level to create a harmonious atmosphere while building the harmonious campus. Then the paper analyzes the status quo and reasons of aggrieved University Students. Students have three statuses; they are ordinary citizens, educated people and special consumers. Parts of the three statuses' rights are violated. These are caused by the following matters: the law, rules and regulations of high institutions, management systems, concepts and oversight mechanisms. The third part is the core of this paper. It expounds how to establish a rights protection system for University Students from five aspects: the establishment of legal system, management system, the legal idealistic consciousness, oversight bodies and improving legal proceedings in order to vindicate University Students' rights and build a harmonious campus.
