Project-based learning which promotes gradually in elementary school education domain in China,is now leading and will lead the revolution of elementary education which affect the way we present course..It has become a big shinning spot of the current reform in elementary education curriculum.Project-based learning is an aimed activity in which students choose and set the learning topic from the natural phenomena,social phenomena and the real lives under the instructions of teachers,It can help students out of purely accepting knowledge and foster their good study attitudes and learning strategies,and their innovative spirits and practical abilities.High school geography is a subject of strongly comprehensive and practical knowledge,which suits to research study well.During the course ,the teachers needn't tell the students the answers first but let the students come up with some questions,try to find answers and draw conclusions. And the geography course currucila also need research study.This thesis is divided into seven parts.It has conducted the research both in theory and practice for project-based learning in geography of junior high school.Part four,Part five and Part six are the key points.This research mainly focuses:defining the definition of project-based learning ; elaborating the theory basis; dealing correctly with the relationship of students and teachers in project-based learning;analyzing the basic factors that affect the teachers and students carrying out project-based learning of geography in junior high school; forming the mode of project-based learning of geography in junior high school; establishing systems like objective system and evaluative system by carrying out project-based learning of geography.Project-based learning of geography is suitable for junior high school students'cognition and their characteristics of physical and mental development . This research will provide certain theory guidance in order to reform the traditional geography teaching in junior high school.
