The current teaching reform has penetrated into the national curriculum,local curriculum and school-based curriculum at various levels.The junior middle school geography school-based curriculum has achieved certain development,but there are still problems such as low student interest and single classroom format.Project-based learning is different from traditional teaching methods.It is an important way to cultivate students' core competencies and values and has the potential to promote the development of school-based curriculum.While reviewing and summarizing domestic and international research,the author has found that the school-based curriculum system for junior middle school geography project has not yet been established,and no corresponding teaching practice strategies and models have been proposed.In view of this,this study developed the school-based curriculum of junior middle school geography based on the project-based learning theory and attempted teaching reform.This article first conducts an analysis of the campus environment and student needs.With full consideration of the academic situation and the actual situation of the school,guided by the theory of project-based learning and school-based curriculum,and based on the "Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" and the requirements of core competencies and values for Chinese students' development,the author carried out the development design,teaching practice,evaluation and reflection of the junior middle school geography-based curriculum based on project-based learning.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)A junior middle school geography school-based curriculum system based on curriculum objectives,with curriculum content as the main body,and curriculum evaluation as the carrier was initially constructed.This system enriches the resources of project-based courses and school-based courses,and supplements and improves the deficiencies of related research fields.Course objectives are divided into general objectives and three-dimensional objectives.The course content includes four aspects of world geography,world regional geography,China geography overview,and China regional geography.The content covers four types of project courses: experimental investigation,local investigation,analysis and evaluation,design and development.Course evaluation includes process evaluation and academic achievement evaluation.(2)In the process of school-based curriculum practice,the author proposes four teaching strategies: carefully preparing lessons according to the process,constructing a learning community,students 'independent learning,and exerting the teacher 's leading role,and creatively designed the“ geography project-based curriculum design process ”to guide teachers in classroom teaching design.This study proposes and uses three teaching modes: real-time inquiry,report display and outdoor practice.This research enriches and summarizes 45 school-based learning examples of geographic project-based learning.In this paper,the complete teaching practice process of 2 teaching examples is presented.(3)The implementation of the curriculum promotes teachers 'theoretical learning and professional abilities,enhances students' core literacy,and promotes the school's distinctive development.Overall,the school-based geography curriculum in junior high school based on project-based learning can effectively improve students 'interest in geography learning and geography practice,and implement the educational goals of morality education.This course provides lessons for the future development of the school-based geography curriculum,and makes up for the shortcomings of the national curriculum and local curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
