| Reflective teaching, hence reflective teachers, has become a heatedly discussed subject in the field of educational research for the teachers. Based on the discussion, some of the researchers in the education circle have started to turn their attention to reflective study of the students. Reflection is a major approach to becoming a good learner and furthermore social progress and individual development also require the upgrading of reflective capacity. As a new approach, reflective study can boost the advancement of students and at the same time meets the requirement of teaching reform. It aims to nurture students ability to be a good learner, which will make them adaptive to changes in their life-long learning process.Drawn upon the theory formulated by other researchers and theoretical exploration of the reflective study in biology, I concluded that reflective study is that students take their biology learning process as a subject for thought, taking an initiative in observing and adjusting their learning behavior, method and results which derive from the process of learning .In this way, not only can students achieve their objective but also more importantly they will have a clear direction for their further study in biology. Moreover I explained the importance of reflective study in biology teaching. Under the direction of reflective study and other earlier theories, I did some research on the theory's practice in school, from which I put forward some study guidance and teaching strategy. All the research and experiment I did are in the early stage, and I tried to find a new approach, which will be conducive for students to acquire knowledge as well as a new way to learn biology. In the end, students will learn to observe and adjust on their own in their study of biology, accomplishing the goal of becoming a life-long good learner. |
