In recent years, with increasingly abundant research findings related to education especially further education on teachers, the teachers'self-education, as one part of the research system on teachers'education, attracts more and more attentions of scholars. People pay extreme attentions on existentialism philosophy and humanistic psychology and education pays more attentions on students'individuality to respect the discrepancy. Since beginning of this century, the study on self-education of students has gradually become a hot topic in the education field. In order to adapt to new trends of times and education, it will be necessary for teachers to conduct continuous self-improvement and highlight self-education.The teachers'self-education is different from the specification education to teachers by the external parties, which should be defined as a teacher's education to the self object by the self subject, depending on teachers'consciousness and initiative. It aims at the self development and improvement of teachers but not the development of"teacher specialty"beyond the"self". The teachers'self-education has features of consciousness, autonomy, binding character and persistency. However, it is not a plain sailing and cannot reach at a single leap, unavoidably has to face certain barriers in reality. Main external factors should refer to imperfect policy, legislation or other related systems established by governmental authorities or related educational authorities as well as school's failure of providing good self-education environment for teachers. The main internal factor should refer to the teacher's self. Teacher's self-education consciousness , self-complacence due to honors or glories, Everyone has self-consciousness, also a teacher. The objective self-consciousness enables a teacher to recognize and evaluate himself (herself) correctly, so a teacher will naturally generate a sense of self-education and consciously conduct self-education for improvement of self deficiencies. Self-consciousness functions as an internal mechanism in the teachers'self-education. Firstly, teachers should have correct self awareness and evaluation as an initiating mechanism. secondly, teachers must exercise tough perseverance and willpower to sustain self-education, furthermore, teachers adjust and control all their thoughts and behaviors at all times and in all places by taking advantage of a monitoring mechanism to realize continuous self perfect. For self existence, adaptation to changes of times, society and career development, teachers have to conduct self education. The teachers'self-education play an active role to himself to teaching and to social morality, it can enhance teacher's quality and the teacher's meaning and value can be presented, It can help the teacher to enhance teaching level, consequently, can be meet quality education. The teacher whose self-education level is high has noble morality. He can guide public moral orientation and promote good morality. Thus, The teachers'self-education is necessary.The teachers'self-education is not only a process, which also requires corresponding strategies or methods to carry on. A teacher should first set up a correct belief of life and makes the values of truth, honest and beauty as his/her moral pursuance so as to perfect a self moral image persistently. The most effective way for teachers to strengthen self-education is learning, through learning from books or similar documental materials, teachers can enrich condition knowledge and text knowledge and through learning from personal or others'experiences, teachers enrich experience knowledge, researching and learning enable teachers to integrate theory with practice. Teachers should stress the academic cooperation with others, i.e. , colleagues, theoretical workers or students, for the purpose of learning from others'strong points to offset their weaknesses. In addition, teaching is also an important way for the teachers'self-education and the self-education in a teaching process is mainly realized by reflection of the teaching behavior. Teachers can improve the level of reflection by such ways as writing daily notes on teaching, recording stories about life, making a personal file folder or microteaching.
