With the process of the society becoming a knowledge economy society gradually, the information technology represented by computer and network communication technique develops rapidly, the information technology infiltrates into all aspects of the society, the information technology provides wide space for the education development. The intervention of information technology makes the way of study change essentially. The means of education become flexbile.The well developed communication technique bring new electronic communication ways and powerful communication tools to us. Based on the policy of our country, our country will promote education information in 21st century. We will culture high-quality talents with creative ability guided by modern education concept. We will explore education teaching mode widely. Background of the education reformation, mobile learning as a new education method will surely become a supplement of the traditional education.Mobile learning is thought as various countries'strategic target.Moble learning is the first choice of every country's means to provide popular higher education and national continuing education. In every country ,mobile learning is the way of provide open,flexible,lifelong learning society for whole people in 21st century. As a new way of distance learning, Mobile Learning can get rid of the constraints of time and space, people can study at any time, anywhere, according to the need for self-study.Mobile Learning represent the future trend of learning, mobile learning will be a new era of individual learning format.Mobile Learning as a new field of study, its study is also very limited. So far, we have no concrete realization of an ideal WAN or regional mobile learning model application. Therefore, the study and research on the mobile, mobile learning systems development and the mode of mobile learning research, the development of mobile learning, the establishment of social learning is important.This thesis is divided into six chapters, we describe the background to the study ,the theoretical foundation, practical application of and practical significance in detail through methods such as survey of the literature.In the first chapter ,we introduce the background t of mobile learning study,we also introduce the significance and the research state of mobile learning. The chapter also elaborated on the mobile learning in the field of the development of China's educational necessity. At the same time the chapter makes an analysis of the mobile education abroad developments.In the second chapter, we describe the development history of mobile learning, and we describe the definition of mobile learning, in accordance with the definition we summed up the characteristics of mobile learning. The abroad mobile learning content and problems in the practice are discussed.In the third chapter ,we analyze the relationship between mobile education and traditional education, it is impossible that mobile education replaces traditional education in short time. Mobile education must be integrated with the traditional education. The chapter introduces some existed mobile learning application models.The introduction focuses on knowledge transfer - situational awareness, individual learning - learning community, formal learning– informal learning.In the fourth chapter, we analyze some thought of the teaching content design when we design the mobile learning model. We design the mobile learning model on secondary school English teaching. The mobile learning model discusses from the teaching objectives, the theoretical foundation, the operational procedures to achieve conditions and evaluation.In the fifth chapter , we presents the basic forms of mobile learning, and we take Unit 12 of new junior high school English goal as an example, the course is divided into preparation of the teaching and the process of the teaching. The case is organized and implemented on preparation of the teaching and the process of the teaching.In the sixth chapter, we prospect the development of mobile learning in the future. We prospect the development trend of Mobile Learning in our country.
