| In 1990s, China put forward"Education for All-round Development"aiming to cultivate and improve people's diathesis. In order to adapt to the"Education for All-round Development", it is highly necessary and significant to teach students how to study and how to study well. Physical education is the essence of schooling, among which teaching of volleyball is one of the more important contents. The reform of physical education in school should keep up with the trend of the times, and abandon the out-of-date teaching ideas, methods as well as contents, etc. Meantime, the new theory should be studied and applied into the reform of volleyball teaching.With revision of underpostgraduate teaching plan of physical department in some teacher's colleges, the volleyball classes are condensed from 118 periods in 1995 to the present 51 periods. However, according to the teaching program, students still have to master the theoretical knowlege, fundamental skills and tactics, etc in such a short time. Also their ability to teach, train, organize an competition and be a good judgement should be cultivated. In this sense, it is more difficult for the students in such a short time to reach certain level of technology and skills. Therefore, here come the questions. How can individual differences be considered at the same time in the form of class collective teaching? How can the comprehensive abilities of students be cultivated? How are students taught to learn to study? All these have been one of the imminent problems for all the subjects of PE department to solve. It is metacognition monitoring that adapts to this need.This thesis gives a literature review of the beginning of meta metacognition and control theory and its definition as well as the dimentionality of schoolwork regulation. Based on this, referring to the relevant design of measuring scale at home and the study features of college students majoring in PE education, this thesis formulates a questionnaire on these students'metacognition and control in order to know the general situation of self-control studies. Meantime, the present study also intends to probe into feasibility and validity of metacognition and control in volleyball teaching so that a new teaching philosophy will be provided to the teaching of volleyball.This thesis applies such methods as literature data, mathematical statistics, expert advice, the survey method and teaching experiment. Through the cultivation of students'metacognition monitoring and learning ability, the present research achives the experimental study of metacognition monitoring theory in volleyball teaching. By Using the SPSS and an Excel spreadsheet to analyze the data collected, the present experiments achieve the following conclusions:1.In the process of learning sports programs, metacognition generally exists in the process of learning volleyball, but students'Metacognition and learning ability is poor. Through the cultivation and practice of metacognitive ability carried out by the experimental classes, teachers show the students good mental model, and guide them to apply the learning process control strategy consciously. In the learning process, the regulation of plans, implementation of control, inspection of results and adoption of measures are carried out in the experimental classes. The author observes the basic situation, learning process and effect of students before, during and after learning of metacognition. After that, compared with the contrasting class, the thesis gets to the conclusion that there are certain differences in metacognitive learning ability between schoolboys and schoolgirls.2.There are some certain differences in the control dimensionalities of metacognition monitoring and learning ability. After the teaching experiment, all of the students get much higher marks in the control dimensionality, especially these boys. However, in the sense of dimensionality, students have a lower percentile, which shows the college students of physical education still can not monitor their own learning.3.In the process of volleyball teaching in physical education, the application of metacognitive monitoring and learning theory is feasible and effective, which is better than the regular and conventional teaching. Metacognition monitoring and learning can stimulate the positive initiative of students, and is conducive to the students'ideology of a life-long sports, which is really helpful to cultivate students'healthful personality and to tap the potentiality of students.4.The teaching of "metacognition monitoring study" fully stimulates students'the thinking, and it emphsizes the improvement of learning methods and the application of learning strategies, as well as students'ability of self-monitoring and self-evaluation. Under the guidance of teachers, the actions of students'own monitoring and control is conducive to the formation of sports skills. Therefore, it is of high promotion value in the professional volleyball teaching of physical education. However, the "Metacognition monitoring" learning theory in the teaching of volleyball is still in the experimental stage, and because of various limitations, it should be further improved and strengthened in many ways. Therefore, the present study gives an affirmation of the application of "Metacognition monitoring" theory, and meantime, it also makes some suggestions aiming at the promotion of metacognition monitoring theory and some enlightenment for the reform of physical education. |
