A Probe On Enrollment Work In General Universities And Colleges

Enrollment work in general universities and colleges is an important component part of general higher education and it's also a systematic program for our country to select qualified freshmen. It is a work with strict policy requirement, a work involved in a lot of people and a work needing a great amount of labor. It's related to the quality of higher education, concerns the direction of the secondary education as well as existence and development of every university and college.This paper concludes three parts. The first part presents a general overview of the main content and several problems which should be paid special attention to of the enrollment work in general universities and colleges. In the second part, it summarizes the principal problems existing in the enrollment work in general universities and colleges and analyzes the causes why those problems exist in the work at the same time. From the aspect of system, there have been contradictions and defects in the existing enrollment system itself carried on in universities and colleges; from the aspect of supervision and controlling, the education department in charge and department in supervision neglects to supervise and control; from the aspect of universities and colleges, different universities and colleges have a great difference in the educational resources and the quality of teaching; from the aspect of individuals, the quality of some enrollment staff members needs to be improved . Pointing against the principal problems existing in enrollment work in general universities and colleges and its causes, based on summing up the reality and absorbing the experiences, the third part proposes the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions: on one hand, the reform of the enrollment system in general uniuversities and colleges should be impelled actively; on the other hand, the quality of enrollment work in general universities and colleges should be improved industriously.
