Since the 1990s,the scale of China's higher education is growing due to the expansion of colleges and universities.The "China Higher Education Quality Report"published in2016 shows that since the new century,China's higher education achieve leapfrog development.in 2015,China has 26,25 million college students,2852 colleges and universities,and gross enrollment rate becomes 40%.The number of new graduates is growing every year and the media always report "history of the most difficult season."The initial employment ability of the university graduates,the work unit,the work area,the occupation and the development status of the university graduates represent the strength of the undergraduates' employment quality and the ability of social mobility,and the type of colleges and universities will greatly affect the employment results of the undergraduates.In order to ensure that the higher education system can continue to bear part of the elite education function,our country's higher education system has re-divided the grade of the university,and the "211 Project" and "985 Project" have come into being.Thus in the labor market appeared only "211","985" theory,"origin" and so on,"academicism"turned into "school calendar".The data of this paper show that,in the initial employment dimension,the employment distribution dimension and the professional development dimension,the undergraduate degree of key universities is generally better than that of the general university:the key colleges and universities are superior to the general colleges in the initial employment opportunity acquisition and employment ability.Almost people from the key universities are working in the big city and having higher incomes.In addition to the promotion of the title,People from the key universities have higher average monthly income and administrative level promotion status.Through these phenomena,we find that there are three main reasons for the difference of the quality of the undergraduates in general colleges and universities:the first is that the difference of the educational resources,and the difference of the individual's ability.Secondly,there are institutional differences in the labor market,The wages and benefits of good employers preferred the focus of college graduates,while the system of the unit promotion mechanism and channel have some problems;the final work unit and university layout caused two types of colleges and universities in the work area differences.In view of the above problems and reasons,the author provides the corresponding suggestions:to accelerate the construction of "double first class" and make some local colleges transform so as to improve the quality of university training;to speed up the reform of the unit wage system to smooth the promotion channels.To enhance the employment of college students entrepreneurial ability.
