As the process of urbanization and industrialization of our country are speeding up today, rural land expropriation, which is becoming popular, is paid more attention by people. The influence of rural land expropriation is right related to the life style of rural residents, which is of vital importance to the harmonious development of economy and society. On the basis of on-the-spot investigation in Huangshan village and Qingtian village of Hunan province, this thesis focuses on deep investigation to typical persons and their families. From the angle of socialization and life course theory, it chooses main parts of rural residents' production and living to compare and discuss the influence of rural land expropriation to rural residents' life style and consequent changes.This thesis contains six chapters. The first chapter: introduction. This chapter introduces significance and reasons for choosing this topic, reviews relevant studies on rural land expropriation and life style, expounds theoretical background and practical significance of this study, and summarizes main methods adopted by this study. The second chapter: general situation of research spots( Changning city, Huangshan village and Qingtian village). This chapter describes the geographical position, natural conditions, population, economy of research spots, and introduces briefly basic situation of local rural land expropriation, which provide a natural and humane background of this study for readers. The third chapter: The influence of rural land expropriation to local residents' economic life. This chapter expounds in great details transformation of local residents producing pattern, after rural land expropriation, the change caused by the transformation of producing pattern. It discusses how local residents adapt to changes of producing and living patterns, and what problem have appeared in their producing and living. The forth chapter: the influence of rural land expropriation to local residents' social life. This chapter focuses on influence of rural land expropriation to local residents' producing and living patterns from angle of the socialization and life course theory. It mainly expounds changes of local residents' family structure and functions, children education, social intercourse, customs and habits after rural land expropriation, and analyzes reasons which cause the change and the further developing tendency of the changes. The fifth chapter: cognition. This chapter focuses on importance cognition transformations of local residents. It mainly contains two patterns, the view about rural land expropriation and cognition on their own life style. The six chapter: conclusion. This chapter summarizes problems that local residents encounter in their production and living and their corresponding cognition transformation, points out responsibilities of local residents, corporation and government. At last, summarizes the experience and its being used for reference in other places.Though, the type which this thesis studies is popular in the 80s of last century and almost disappears in the eastern area, it still exists in the middle and western area. The purpose of this thesis is not only to study the influence of some particular land expropriation but also to show the deep influence of the industrialization on the rural.
