Stress is a critical issue for each person to face in modern society. Job stress of preschool teachers is an issue which is more important and valuable in theory and practice that is closely related to teachers' and children' physical and mental health.The purpose of the present study is to explore what the job stress resources, intensity and coping strategies of teachers are.The thesis firstly specifies the definition, then states the negatives results, influential factors of job stress as well as job resources and coping strategies. After introducing the theoritical study and empirical research in abroad and domestic, the dissertation puts forward its operational definition about job stress of teachers in kindergartens.The questionnaire and interview were used for data collection, which reliability of measure was found to be satisfactory (Alpha=. 7563). 260 copies were handed out to the teachers in X area of shanghai in China and 224 copies were testified valid. The result was analyzed by SPSS 10.0 and also some teachers were interviewed in order to get more accurate information.The results indicate that :1,There are about 8 job stress resources: reformation of education, students, the management of school, the characteristics of work , career development ,physical and mental characteristics, family and society. Teachers feel that the major job stress are from reformation of education , society, the management of school and the characteristics of work.2,Through analysis of correlation between selected index of innovation performance and job stress , an important outcomes came into being. There is a remarkable direct correlativity between physical and mental deed reactions and job stress.Factors that can obviously calculate the job stress of preschool teachers were personal physical and mental characteristics , the characteristics of work and family.3,On different variable levels, for example, age, teaching age and kindergarten type,the teachers' stressscores are significantly different.On the basis of findings, suggestions about job stress to teachers , leaders in kindergartens and society have been given.
