The healthy growth and well-educated of doctoral candidate have a significant relationship between the construction of innovative country and realization strategy of rejuvenating the country by talent in our country, but nowadays they are suffering kinds of stress come from economic and social development, cultural change, as well as life, education, employment and marriage. If there is no scientific and timely management, it is bound to have an adverse effect on their physical and mental health. This paper takes doctoral candidate as the research object, combined with stress management and employee assistance plan (EAP) related theories, finally puts forward the stress management strategy for doctoral candidate based on DAP through study design, data collection and analysis.This study adopts questionnaire survey in Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology and Huazhong Normal University, takes264full-time doctoral candidate as samples, uses SPSS17.0and DPS software as data analysis tools, finally draws the following conclusions:(1) Female doctor’s perceived stress level is higher than male; the perceived stress level of those who are under the age of24is minimum, those who are between26and28are of the highest level in perceived stress; the average of those who are unmarried but have a couple are greatest, followed by married doctoral candidate, and then are the unmarried and has no lover, those who married but have no childless suffer the minimum perceived stress; the perception pressure of rural doctoral candidate students is slightly higher than the urban doctoral candidate; ranks the perceived stress level of different grade from high to low is; grade two> grade three> other grade> grade one; the science and engineering doctoral candidate suffers the highest perception pressure level, followed by business, the pressure of literature and history and other disciplines are relatively less; the perceived stress score of non-only-child was slightly higher than the only-child; the better of family economic condition, the lower of the perceived stress; the perceived stress of doctoral candidate with work experience is below those who without work experience. (2) Doctoral candidate’s score in positive stress-coping inventory and negative stress-coping inventory are higher than the national norm.(3) doctoral candidate’s stress is mainly from seven aspects, including academic, employment, economy, marriage, social expectations, interpersonal communication and health. Academic stress is the primary source of doctoral candidate, and economic is the second major source of stress, and then is the social expectation pressure, marriage pressure, employment pressure,, at last come the interpersonal pressure and physical health.(4) doctoral candidate’s DAP can be divided into five levels including the school, mentor, family, society and individual, and doctoral candidate’s three most needed programs are living allowances from university, opportunities to apply research project by themselves and academic guidance from mentors respectively.(5)University, mentor, family, society and individuals have made efforts to alleviate the pressure of doctoral candidate, but it does have a certain gap with doctoral candidate’s need for DAP, among them, the three indicators have greatest difference are respectively chance for doctoral candidate to apply for scientific research project independently provided by university, more understanding from society and participate in more sports exercise.(6) Using the grey theory GM (1. N) dynamic model to build doctoral candidate’s stress driving system, the data analysis shows that all of the five aspects of DAP can weaken doctoral candidate’s stress, university has the strongest effect to weaken doctoral candidate’s stress, DAP of teacher level, society level, family level and individual level also have weakening effect in different degrees.(7)Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical research, the thesis puts forward the measures and recommendations to alleviate the pressure of the doctoral candidate from the school, teacher, society, family and individual level...
