College Students' Political Socialization: A Study On Operating Mechanism

Citizen's socialization is a leading issue of contemporary political study. At present, China's "political socialization of college students mechanism," the study is still in the beginning stage, with the exception of a few scattered articles found in the sporadic introduction, the systematic study is still devoted blank. With the《CPC Central Committee's State Council on further strengthening and improving the ideological and political education of college students view》, The issue of college students on the importance of ideological and political work to an unprecedented high stage. While this paper is precisely in the context of this, students can effectively address the specific ideological and political work, as the ideological and political reality of college educators to provide ideas for work. Contemporary college students are citizens of advanced knowledge groups, is the hope for prosperity and development of our country. Therefore, the study of the contemporary college students' political socialization will help improve the effectiveness of China's higher education in the long run. And in the near future, it would contribute to our country's political stability, social harmony and the country.This paper, at the very beginning, discusses the connotation, contents and significance of contemporary college students' political socialization. Then analyses the present condition of contemporary college students' socialization, and points out the urgent problems to be solved. On the basis of above discussion, this paper focuses on the operation mechanism that would push the political socialization of contemporary college students. To improve the effects of political socialization of contemporary college students, the paper raised four mechanisms: First, the dynamic mechanism based on the political needs of contemporary college students; Second, the educational system based on the integration of political culture; Third, evaluation mechanism of the effects of contemporary college students' political socialization; Fourth, the protection mechanism based on system construction. we are now living in an Era of Politics. Every aspect of our life is increasingly integrated with politics. And the whole of mankind's political life has also increasingly become a closely linked system. The influence of public policies is becoming increasingly obvious, thus all the problems we face have been turned into political problems. Therefore, in promoting the political system to enhance the ability of governing, to improve the political abilities becomes the greatest demand of Era Politics. And an effective way to achieve this is to carry out citizens' political socialization. To ensure the long term stability of political system is the primary purpose of political socialization, and the stable and healthy development is the fundamental purpose. Contemporary college students as high-quality citizens, are important target of our political socialization. Contemporary college students should strive to become practitioners and reinforcements of political socialization of contemporary college students.
