To study the mechanism of rock-climbing and its body-building function, thirty-six healthy college students(sophomore,age 20.43±0.88)of Zhejiang Normal University were chosen randomly and divided-into training group(n=18)and compared group(n=18).The first group live a normal life as before and the second group took a training of rock- climbing,which last 6 months.experimental group Intensity:60%-75%of one′s heart rate;one hour each time;3-6 times a week.By using EXCEL Data statistical software,we compared and analyzed the Physiological.Criteria of the two groups.Functional criteria of heart and Lung:After 6 months training of rock climbing,the subjects of the experimental group have a great change in:VC,HR,VO2max,VO2At (P<0.05);and HR decreased obviously,but VC,and VO2At have increased,Female college students VO2max is increasd,Male college students there is no significant change in VO2max(P>0.05).Body Component Criteria:After 6 months training of rock climbing,to the subjects of the experimental group there is an obvious decrease in Fat weight,Fat percentage,weight criteria,weight and Lean weight.(P<0.05).Body constitution Criteria:To the experimental group,the Muscular strength greatly increased.Flexilty and explosive force is enhanced(P<0.05); Short term motion capacity Criteria:To the experiment group,there is a significant increase in the short term motion capacity(P<0.05)The training and competing of Rock-climbing is a case of choosing climbing routes.To make an optimal choice on routes requires the rock-climber memorize the position of the handholds in a short time,hence they can Choose the optimal route according to their own physical condition to accomplish their training and competition.In order to investigate whether the training of rock-climbing can affect the short-term movement memory,this experiment makes a comparative analysis between the control group and the experimental group applying the index of the movement memory capacity in psychology.According to this experiment,the six months' rock-climbing training plays a positive role in enlarging the capacity of short-term movement memory.We draw the conclusion from the above statistics,rock-climbing can enhance the function of heart and lung of healthy college students,change their body components and develop their strength,pliability and explosive force,improve the short term motion capacity:This finding will lay a solid foundation in theory and practice for the widespread of rock climbing which is regarded as a body-building item for college students.
