In the course of globalization, the western athletics, whose example is the Olympic Movement, becomes the main part in the world sports culture. And it must guide and standardize the kernel of the traditional sports. In the present age, dominated in China, the western sports gradually becomes the mainstream of the China sports from the day it entered into our country and profoundly impacts the development of Chinese sports. The Chinese traditional sports, in the course of latter-day and modern development, leaves behind the western sports impress. The traditional sports is in danger. So the Chinese traditional sports must accordingly change, and adapt itself to the new circumstances to get rebirth in the face of overwhelming pervasion of the western sports and fade-away in the originally survival surroundings.The paper, with the macrocosmically point of view and by the theories on several schools, analyzes the problem in the development . The author, with view point of animadversion, select assimilation and ceaseless innovation, researches on some issues, such as the rough development course of Chinese traditional sports after latter-day history, being in a corner again in the developing course of modern society etc. And then the author presents, in the background of globalization, the historical mission and value reconstruction, and assumes to establish the perfect system of the school development and developing model. The paper aims to provide the practicable achievements, and wholly upgrade the status of Chinese traditional sports in the world, and make the cultural character of the Chinese traditional sports steadily towards the world, and promote the sports in the modern society.
