2007: The Investigation And Analysis Of College Graduates' Employment Status In Changchun

As China's college graduates employment peak arrival , "difficult employment situation for college students" has caused the community more widespread concern.Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province,is a college-intensive city,but its economy is not developed but developing. Changchun's large number of college graduates in the employment problem is more pronounced.Subject to a variety of factors, Changchun's huge number of college graduates, the employment situation in the end is how this kind of?It is very "difficult"? Whether there are serious differences between the institutions? Are there differences between professional? Whether there are gender differences?And compared to the employment of the whole country,the employment problems of the city changchun,is more serious or not?This study was designed to understand the college graduates' employment situation in Changchun area in2007.As well as decision-making and education in the school and college students near graduation to provide a richer information more effectively.At present, the investigation and empirical study of the college graduates employment are nearly all overview study of the whole nation's employment or individual institutions, individual colleges and subject-specific research. On the city and area study, they are confined to the Beijing, Shanghai, the mega-cities. That is to say, the current employment situation study is lack at central cities, such as Changchun. The investigations and studies on Changchun graduates' employment status is blank yet, that is the significance of this study is to fill in this blank.In this study, the main statistical analysis use the EXCEL software to process data.Based on a scale survey data conducted in the city Changchun in 2007, this paper has given a statistical description on the college student employment characters. And then, this paper has compared the empirical results with the results of Problem group of Peking University who surveys in the whole nation range in 2007 about the first time employment rate, intention, influencing factor of employment, process and result of choosing a job. Moreover, this paper has also compared the empirical results in the graduates from priority colleges and universities with the graduates from average colleges and universities, the graduates from science and engineering with the graduates from other disciplines, the male graduates and the female graduates about the employment result, the job wanted information gaining, satisfied degree with the job wanted information, the job wanted number of times, the cost of graduate's job hunting, initial salary and the employment scatters. There are a few of findings: first, there are no enormous difference about graduates employment between Changchun and the whole China; second, in Changchun, the graduates from priority colleges and universities have better employment condition; third, in Changchun, the graduates from science and engineering have better employment condition; fourth, in Changchun, the male graduates have better employment condition.According to the analysis of the survey results, this paper make the following suggestions: first, maintain the revitalization of the old industrial bases in northeast China's posture, Changchun, and accelerate regional economic stability development; second, enhance the overall quality of the college students; third , strengthen the employment services; fourth, pay full attention to the role of the information, especially the internet information; fifth, establish and improve the mechanism of regular staff hiring; sixth, establish a correct concept of the employment.
