The 21st century is an era of knowledge economy, with the development of society, science and technology, the countries in the world made lots of basic educational reform in order to increase their national strength and competition in the world. Our country made strategy policy of rejuvenating the country by promoting science and education, our country needs a large number of creative, innovative talents with important feature of innovative thinking, along with the reform and development of education, and training innovative thinking to the student is the important task of education. At present, China's basic education has turn to quality education; the core of quality education is the innovative education. Training innovative thinking to the student is the important goal which carries out innovative and quality education in our country is the core goal of innovative education. History is an effective subject with stimulating innovative thinking of the student; the teaching of history has the remarkable advantages of cultivating creative thinking. Therefore, according to the research result up to date in educational fields at home and abroad, and from the historical characteristics of the subjects, in this study, the author explored how to foster innovative thinking in the teaching of history combine with the teaching of history.This paper was based on the theoretical foundation of the teaching of innovative thinking, analyzed the meaning and the research significance of the innovative thinking in the study, and discussed the characteristics of innovative thinking and the connections with the teaching of history. The main direction of basic educational reform was the quality education based on the cultivating main body mind and innovative ability of the student, teaching in the classroom was the main place of inspiring and cultivating innovative ability of the student. While history teaching has good direct effect in the field of cultivating innovative thinking of the student, the history wisdom was the advanced intelligence product and was the base of other innovative thinking. The main body mind and innovative spirit of the new special talent and worker in the future mainly was based on the teaching in the classroom of the primary and middle school at present, cultivating innovative thinking of the student at the teaching in the classroom can make the student be the special talent and worker with cultivating technology.This paper discussed the practice of cultivating innovative thinking to the students in period of history teaching, such as: harmonious and democratic teaching atmosphere ensures active thinking; setting up effective teaching situation stimulates the interest of students and guide the thinking of the students; cultivating innovative thinking quality in combination with innovation personality mold of the students, and so on. The cultivation manners of creative thinking mainly included the training of convergent thinking, divergent thinking, comparative thinking, dialectical thinking and associative thinking to the students, etc. The ultimate effect cultivate innovative thinking not only enable students to make further grasps to the historical knowledge and skills, but also make students learn how to learn, how to work; therefore, this can not only greatly increase the efficiency of learning history, but also lay the foundation for future learning and development. Finally, this study expounded the attentive issues in the training of innovative thinking to the students.In short, this study provide some new perspectives and workable teaching methods on how to train the creative thinking to the students in the history teaching in middle school in the fields of theory and practice, and can give some teaching reference to the middle school history teachers.
