Curriculum is a concentrated expression of the education ideas and education concept, is the "blueprint" of basic education, is the ways to achieve the objective of fostering talent, is the most important basis of organizing educational activities. In recent years, various countries have placed on basic education curriculum reform in the primacy, in the same, China is no exception, in 2001, basic education curriculum reform is in full swing in our country. In order to keep up with the pace of the reform of basic education curriculum, a new sports curriculum reform of China's basic education has been put on the agenda, the reform of the Physical Education specialty in universities has posed a challenge. In 2003, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "curriculum programme of the Physical Education specialty undergraduate in ordinary universities", started a curriculum reform of the Physical Education specialty in ordinary universities. Physical Education specialty of universities as the "working mother" of fostering P.E teacher, in the face of the new international situation, in the face of the new requirements of the new Physical Education curriculum standards for Physical Education teachers, in the face of the new 2003 "curriculum programme," must reform and perfect, especially in the teaching contents and curriculum provision, must improve the quality and efficiency of teaching, cultivate sports talents to fit the needs of a new century and social development.This study uses literature, surveys, expert interviews, comparative analysis, mathematical statistics and so on, to study the curriculum provision of the Physical Education specialty of 16 universities in Shandong Province. Starting with the status quo of the current of the curriculum provision of the Physical Education specialty of 16 universities in Shandong Province, and conducting a comprehensive analysis, summed up the current characteristics of the curriculum provision of the Physical Education specialty, and studied curriculum reform of the Universities of domestic and foreign literature, on the basis of curriculum reform documents from the Ministry of Education, P.E. commission and the Office of the provincial education, requested the views of experts and professors on P.E. curriculum reform, and put forward some of the reform proposals for the Physical Education undergraduate Curriculum of universities in our province, aimed at providing reference for teaching curriculum content and the reform of curriculum provision of the Physical Education specialty of universities in Shandong Province.Through analysis and comparison of the existing curriculum programme of the Physical Education specialty of 16 universities in Shandong Province, this article analyzed the type of curriculum structure, the configuration of the curriculum is reasonable or no; the ratio of school credits and period; curriculum is fulfilled the needs of the community's demand for qualified personnel or not, and other aspects. The progress made in the curriculum provision of Physical Education specialty of universities in Shandong Province as follows: various courses opened the door, and a more broad curriculum areas; to increase the proportion of the arbitrary elective courses; to pay attention to setting up courses on health care and rehabilitation, implementing the guiding ideology of the "Health First"; to set a large number of new courses; curriculum content is gradually integrated and comprehensive. Also there are some problems in the curriculum provision of the Physical Education specialty of universities in Shandong Province: the structure of general education curriculum is less reasonable; elective course does not conform to reality; the proportion of compulsory courses and elective courses is less reasonable; the course name must be further standardized, practice is weak, particularly the time of educational practice is short. In view of the current problems , provided some of the reform proposals: adjust general education courses; appropriately increase the proportion of elective courses to improve the structure of courses, standardize the name of the course, reflect the characteristics of courses; strengthen teaching practice link, pay attention to cultivating the education practical ability of students; make full use of internal and external schools resources, sharing of sports resources, and strengthen quality of teachers.
