Tibet is an autonomous region of agriculture and animal husbandry, farming and pastoral areas, agriculture and the farmers and herdsmen in Tibet is the major issues that is related to economic development by leaps and bounds and long-term social stability, and building a well-off society and the overall modernization. Educational backwardness, and the low quality of human resources in agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet's modernization is the main obstacles. The educational demands of family play the crucial role in the development education of the agricultural and pastoral areas in Tibet. In this paper, the theory of economic-cultural type as the basis, using literature analysis, field survey methods to analysis the agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet family education demands, according to the ecological environment, livelihoods, social organizational form, and social aspects of ideas and concepts, to analysis the agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet economic-cultural characteristics, As a basis,discuss the impact factors of the educational demands of family.Research shows that:In the ecological environment, the population living dispersed, to travel long distances to school, and some parents are unwilling to send their children to school owing to inconvenient transportation, backward infrastructure, poor living and working conditions, And the presence of teachers, affecting the quality of education;In livehoods,the mode of production of agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet is backward, lack of the main requirement of cultural scientific and technological knowledge, but the production lasted for a long time, this demands for the labor, and that led to a significant portion of school-age children engaged in productive labor unable to go to school, the industrial structure in rural and pastoral areas of a single, non - weak agricultural industry, so that these graduates employment difficulties.In the social organizations, agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet is the closed environment, and production activities demand the labour, but in the domestic labor is less. traditional forces in the agricultural and pastoral areas of Tibet wide implications, and the masses have a weak legal concept, basic education one-sided propaganda, the work of the provisional enrollment measures, compulsory education in rural and pastoral areas have not been well implemented. In the ideas and concepts,have a strong sense of regional and a strong local concept, the rural and pastoral areas of education concepts very backward.
