An experiment in physics can effectively create an environment of studying for students, display a vivid and visual environment of studying for students, provide them a rich and perceptual knowledge, stimulate students' interest in studying and cause them to study the subject actively in practice, and moreover, it can promote the construction and transference of their knowledge. On account of the understanding of the requirements of the curriculum standard for senior physics and the thinking of the current situation of senior physics teaching as well as theoretical studies on the subject and its characteristics, the author argues that it is necessary to integrate experimental teaching with exercise-teaching organically in teaching.The practical research is mainly done in consideration of experimental teaching for senior physics, with the guidance of the constructionist theory on studying, cognitive circumstances and theoretical studying. The thesis presents an analysis of the current issues exist in the current physics studying and teaching, which are as follows: students' lack of enthusiasm for studying; short of perceptual knowledge; low experimental consciousness; deficient in experiment; lack of further elaboration on the teaching function of the experiment; "de-situationization" in exercise-teaching; low ability in solving problems; lack of explorative enthusiasm for science and so on and so forth. The author aims to integrate exercise-teaching and experimental teaching by turning dull exercise-teaching into audio-visual and vivid experimental teaching. The focus of this thesis is on putting an end to the divorce of exercise-teaching and experimental-teaching in physics teaching so as to provide reference for improving physics teaching for middle schools. In practical teaching an emphasis is placed on creating a circumstance of experimental exercise, question, transference and practice. In short, circumstance-teaching should be applied to experimental teaching, through which experimental exercise-teaching should be permeated. and more vigorous efforts are required to strengthen and broaden students' perceptive knowledge by creating an environment of studying physics to invigorate students' interest in doing physics problems, cultivate their consciousness of doing experiments, promote their other abilities, such as construction, remembering and transference of knowledge aiming to improve students' competence in analysis and thinking, cultivate their originative spirit as well as scientific explorative spirit.In view of the exploration of the situation-creation in physics class, re-understanding of the experimental teaching, the present thesis carries out a practice of guiding case to deal with the demonstration of the mechanics in Senior One physics and group experiment. Four parallel classes of the same grade, which are grouped into experimental classes and control classes, are chosen as an object of the research to find out if the improvement of the former (the experimental classes) is much more noticeable than the latter (control classes )on their interest in what they are studying, remembering, consolidation, transference, experimental awareness ability of exploration by way of questionnaire, interviews, and tests of experimental exercises.The result of the experiment shows that creating favourable circumstances in the experiment on physics and exercise-teaching in high schools not only helps to stimulate students' enthusiasm for studying physics, enhance their awareness of experiment, but also contribute to their understanding, grasping knowledge ,and promote remembering and consolidation of knowledge as well. What's more, students' explorative spirit can be cultivated, so can the abilities of integration of theory with practice and above all students' innovative and practical spirits can also be fully promoted So we can conclude that in senior physics teaching ,creating favorable circumstances, combining experiment with exercise-teaching is feasible and effective.
