The teaching practice is an important constituent of teacher training, which not only can affect the attitude that passes through to the entire teacher professional career and the ability formation, but also can have the influence over the new teacher who makes the decision whether continues the teacher occupation. With the increasing request on the teacher specialization, it has already aroused the interest of all the countries on how to change the pattern of the teaching practice and enhance the quality of teaching practice in our country.Teacher Professional Development School(PDS) came into existence under the background of the US large-scale teacher education reform in the 1980s. The Holmes group had expounded the vital role of PDS in the practice in teaching, and pointed out the elementary and middle schools to be the best place which the teacher practises. The goal of the American PDS teaching practice is to ensure that the knowledge development should meet the needs with the students, to provide the clinical practice training, to raise the teacher level before taking a job, to promote the specialization development of teachers. The teaching practice in Teacher Professional Development School is to face "primary" education practice and many and varied teaching job experiences, which enables the trainee to learn effectively to carry on the teaching job, and does the specialized research. Teacher Professional Development School will support the future teacher and the new teacher's study with the aid of the created scene, provide the practice research for the practice instructing teacher and the practice teacher, and provide various ways for developing the teaching specialized knowledge foundation.After the development of more than 20 years, PDS rapidly develops in US; the project for the teacher teaching practice initiated by PDS will become the main ways for training the American teachers before taking a job. At the same time, the teaching practice in the PDS has also received many challenges, and has many barriers, but because its brand-new idea is complied with the development of the education practice, it has still got success in the teaching practice in Teacher Professional Development School and has had vigorous development.
