Core Competitiveness Research On China's Private Colleges

As Chinese higher education strides from outstanding pattern to popularity,there has been a spring of private colleges,which has also initiated a question of competitiveness for private colleges namely,how private colleges maintain the competitive advantages in educational markets.Based on the theory of core competitiveness,this article analyses the development and the present situation of private colleges,discusses the connotation and the characteristics of core competitiveness for private colleges,then points out factors that affects core competitiveness for private colleges.Lastly,the author proposes some countermeasures.This article consists of altogether five chapters.The first chapter embarks the background,the research route and methods of the research,points out its theoretical value and practical significance.The second chapter constructs theoretical basis of core competitiveness for private colleges from perspective of management with the aid of organization theory and competition strategy theory.Chapter Three analyses the meaning,characteristics and elements of core competitiveness of the private colleges,trying to bring theory of core competitiveness for private colleges into being. China's core competitiveness of the private colleges holds nonprofit and profit-making co-exist,integrated,dynamic and unique characteristics,composed of the policy environment,school system and school resources.Chapter Four discusses the developing history and existing status of the private colleges,and reveals the existing problems in our private colleges.Since reform and opening up,China's private colleges generally experienced a resumption of the initial stage,the initial stage of development,rapid development stage and standardized development stage, and the main development models include the independent business model, joint-stock model,the public-help model and attachment of renewable model,.Although China Private College has developed by leaps and bounds,China's core competitiveness of the private colleges are still inadequate,mainly for the outdated concept of education,faculty weak in strength,not enough investment funds, and so on.Chapter Five proposes measures of promoting core competitiveness of private colleges.According to the main factors that affect core competitiveness of private colleges,this part proposes,from such three aspects as system advantages, talent characteristics and system environments,to fully promote the core competitiveness of private colleges in our country.This article follows such a logical idea as theory- studying→problemanalyzing→countermeasure-discussing. According to the theory of core competitiveness,based on the current situation and existing problems of the private colleges,together with the analysis on the meanings and characteristics of the private colleges,this paper deeply analyzes the main factors and reasons that affect core competitiveness of private colleges and proposes ideas and countermeasures for the core competitiveness of private colleges.Meanwhile,this paper discusses deeply the countermeasures for the core competitiveness of the private colleges,aiming at providing references and suggestions for improving the core competitiveness of private colleges in our country.
