The Study On Enhancing The Core Competitiveness Of Xijing University

In 2015, institutions of higher education in our country have surpassed 1000, and amongst which, over 700 private colleges and universities are included.After years of development, private colleges and universities have already made moderate achievements and cultivated numerous talents.At the time of reducing the pressure of the public education, more and more young people go into their workplaces in private colleges and universities. They plunged themselves into places where they are needed by the society, and made their own contributions to the diversified development of education. Higher education in our country beomes prosperous along with the expansion of the education market, meanwhile,competition amongst colleges and universities is becoming increasingly intense.Accordingly,the development of private education is not only trended by the society, but also needed by the country. Therefore, a research needs to be carried out on competitiveness of private colleges and universities on the basis of development characteristics of the private colleges and universities in our country, so as to enable the colleges and universities to obtain vantage grounds in the competition process, and strengthen their core strength. On the whole, the characteristics of this paper lie here.Taking Xijing University as an example, using core competitiveness theory and SWOT analysis method as theoretical bases, this paper gives a profound analysis on elements of quite strong college running strength, sound corporate governance structure, specific college-running orientation, as well as medium and long term development strategy plans,favorable social reputation, distinguished schooling features and comprehensively improved quality of talent training, etc.and clearly puts forward that: college-running orientation is the soul of the core competitiveness of Xijing University; campus construction and improvement of teaching condition are the foundations of the core competitiveness of Xijing University; the reinforcement of teaching construction and reform is the only way to cultivate the core competitiveness of Xijing University; improvement of educational quality guarantee system is a powerful guarantee of cultivating the core competence of Xijing University; and prominent learning outcomes and enhancement of employment quality are the achievements of corecompetitiveness of Xijing University which are used to construct the core competitiveness of Xijing University.This paper is divided into 6 chapters, comprising chapter 1: introduction, chapter 2:related theories and concepts of the paper, chapter 3: the core competitiveness SWOT analysis of Xijing University, chapter 4: the overall strategic reform thinking and overall objectives for the core competitiveness of Xijing University, chapter 5: strategic plannings for the core competitiveness of Xijing University, chapter 6: countermeasures and suggestions for sharpening the core competitive edge of private colleges and universities by taking Xijing University as an example. The completion of this paper has practical guiding significance to strengthen the competitiveness of Xijing University, and also provides references for similar colleges and universities in improving their core competitiveness.
