The essence of Inquiry-based Learning is to train student's innovative power of thought. Guides the students to multi-dimensional and multi-level analysis and thinking summed up by specific problems of students from the thinking of a single linear way to the complex three-dimensional way, this is a process from simple to complex. This is what we usually say to read a book from thin to thick. The essence is the ability of deduction in the liberal arts. Lets the students realize Confucian thoughts broad and profound, it already has penetrated into Chinese nation's blood, the impact of all of China and all Chinese people. To the Confucian thoughts simple affirmation and the denial are not correct.In the research study of students in China to treat effectively understand Confucianism as the center of traditional culture's attitude is that we often say: goes to its dregs, attracts its essence. Confucianism dregs are mainly its despotism content of autocratic politics, has hindered the Chinese society's modernizing course, is inconsistent with the modern democratic tidal current; Confucianism is the essence of its accomplishment of life and moral behavior. So some scholars say that Confucianism is the pursuit of the inherent moral and personal charm, attention to themselves, is the purpose of the scholarship is to strive for good, is mankind's humanity's spiritual food; modern Western society is the pursuit of material wealth, the Western idea is to strive for Really learning is conducive to the rapid development of science and technology, the human has become a tool for capitalists to make money and become slaves of machines.Lets the students in the process of Inquiry-based Learning realize that to Confucianism in China ancient times and the modern completely different bitter experience reason is: Confucianism only adapts the feudalism small-scale peasant economy, is the agricultural civilization product, also promoted the agriculture civilized and the despotic royal power development; However facing the West capitalism tidal current and the industry civilization, Confucianism fell behind, Confucianism did not complete social transformation, especially in the repeated aggression against China by foreign powers, China's repeated fail, the war in modern China, Confucianism was overthrown became inevitable.Through discussing how to analyze"Down with the Confucian School", we should carry out the three objectives of History Curriculum Standards. According to the results, students are improved greatly in many aspects in the process of Inquiry-Based Learning: The broad and profound Confucianism not only creates characteristic thoughts and conception of Chinese people but also influences the development society of China; It is a re-cognition of Chinese traditional culture. Every modern people should have the worldwide judgment to adapt society's development and the time's demand. Inquiry-Based Learning is the embodies of modern educational concepts; The instructional design of Inquiry-Based Learning is different from the instructional design of the normal subject, so it is necessary and important to research on the instructional design of Inquiry-Based Learning.
