The reform of new curriculum calls for new standards of evaluation of classroom teaching in senior middle school. Facing the new curriculum reform, we, the mathematics teacher in middle school should deal with the emerging situation, and rethink and redefine the standards of evaluation of classroom teaching. In this thesis, the author discusses the evaluation of classroom teaching and the evaluation scale hoping it can play an important role of orientation, encouragement and diagnosis in the evaluation of classroom teaching.This paper summarize the history and current situation of the evaluation of classroom teaching by literature, evaluate both the teacher's classroom behavior and the student's classroom behavior by referring to the theory of multiple intelligence, constructivism and key-role education. And we have analyzed the expectation and requirement of the new curriculum on mathematics teachers, mathematics classes and evaluation of classroom teaching, thus making it the guidance of the evaluation system.Based on theoretical researches, this paper focuses on the classroom teaching evaluation scale. Firstly, we gathered the opinions of experts, mathematics teacher and students in senior middle schools through questionnaire accompanying with interview. Secondly we set up the primitive evaluation system and evaluation standards by content analysis and group factors analysis, and the final indices have been chosen after consulting the experts. We have selected 2 first-grade evaluation indices—teacher's classroom behavior and the student's classroom behavior, 7 second-grade evaluation indices—teaching aim, teachers' role, teachers' basic skills, students' learning style, learning levels, learning achievements; and 23 third-grade evaluation indices, including 13 indices used to evaluate the teacher and the rest evaluate students. Then we did statistic analysis by Delphi method and got the relative weight of the indices. Thus the final evaluation scale was finished. The reliability and validity has been examined by revising the manuscript and testing it in mathematics classes in the middle schools. The Kendall's coefficient of concordance of the evaluators' reliability is 0.65. From this, we can conclude that this evaluation scale has a relatively high reliability. Moreover, we ensured the content validity, construct validity and expert validity have been ensured by using content analysis, group factors analysis and consulting the experts.This evaluation system emphasizes that teaching should be conducted according to the students and characteristics of different subjects and the non aspect of students should be paid attention to. So this system is innovative and applied. This study on evaluation of classroom teaching is just from these two aspects: teaching standards and the evaluation scale. The reform of new curriculum is a complicated system, and the reconstruction of the standards of classroom teaching evaluation. The evaluation of classroom teaching will be improved by long tide efforts and practice on the reform of concepts, strategies and application.
