Network education and the researching concerned is an important field of the current English teaching. Many experts and scholars at home and abroad have had a positive try to explore in the English teaching with the network environment. In particular, a certain amount of research results have been accumulated in the university teaching of English. But the research of the mode of English teaching is not enough. And there is a certain lack of further study.Nowadays, at least the following three disadvantages of the English reading teaching should be mentioned in junior high school. The first is about the reading materials - its difficult contents, broad themes, long passages and more new words; the second concerns class teaching, including the lower effectiveness of class management, the large restriction of communicating, in particular, the one-to-one communicating; and the last lack is about the teaching methods, including the simple teaching form, the little information to be taught, the untimely feedback and the poor study effectiveness.In order to solve the problems above, the author attempts to build a scientific reading teaching mode with the network environment, which will help both the students and the teachers. The students at the various levels will have different gains: the learning disgusting students will have interests to learn English by it; the weak students will get easy ways to learn and the excellent students will widen their sight view to get more and more knowledge. Of course, this mode will also continuously improve the teaching efficiency of reading.Under the guidance of Krashen's input hypothesis, Swain's output hypothesis and the blended learning theory, as well as on the base of the new English curriculum reform and the advantages of multimedia networks, the author describes in detail how to construct the reading mode with the network environment, which involves in the theoretical basis, the condition preparation, the designing ideas, the teaching strategies and the operational procedures.In order to gain the reasonable evidence, the author picks up 65 students in a junior high school to do her research so that she can experiences her theory and construction of the mode. With a series of experiments, the author suggests that the English reading teaching mode with the network environment can promote the independent development of students, the professional development of teachers and the comprehensive information in a scientific and practical way.To be honest, the author thinks that her research also needs to be improved and studies further in depth in the following years. This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter I is introduction. It gives us a brief introduction of the research background of this thesis. It elucidates the main issues and the research methods.Chapter II is literature summary. It first describes the related definition, and then it inspects the multimedia network at home and abroad, and then it introduces Karshen's input hypothesis, Swain's output hypothesis and the blended learning theory.Chapter III is about the English reading teaching mode with the network environment in junior high school. It describes what the mode is and the theoretical basis, the condition preparation, the designing ideas, the teaching strategies and the operational procedures of the mode.Chapter IV is about the application of the English reading teaching mode with the network environment in junior high school. It describes some details of the research, including the purposes, the targets, the contents, the steps, the methods, the examples and the research results.Chapter V is conclusion of the research. It briefly describes the advantages of the English reading teaching mode with the network environment. And it also describes the problems and the prospects of the research. With a series of experiments, it proves that the English reading teaching mode with the network environment is scientific and practical.Chapter VI is close. It is fair to say that learning English with the network environment is the future of English teaching and an inevitable trend, the majority of education and scientific research. As English teachers, we should make our big contributions for English teaching.
