The Research Of The Family Education Condition Of Junior School Students During Urbanization

The Pearl River Delta near Hong Kong and Macau, is one of the most active and the fastest developing areas. At the same time, it acts as the forward position in the Reform and Opening. Since the reform and opening policy was carried out, more than two decades ago, its economy has develops to a certain level. With the economy development of the rural area in the Pearl River Delta, the rural area is stepping towards urbanization, the living style and the mode of production in rural area is constantly changing. Therefore, it has brought a lot of changes in various fields. There's no doubt that family education plays a very important part in education. Obviously, at present, it is faced with many new problems.The junior middle school students, aged from 12 to 16, step from stable childhood to unstable puberty. Owing to the fact that they are physically and mentally unrest, it has caused great concern in schools, society and family. People of the whole society are seeking actively solutions to help them, aimed at providing them a good education and effective guidance, thus they can grow up healthy and sound. Nevertheless, most parents in rural areas are poorly educated, the education concept in them is partially false, educational content loses its balance, and the teaching methods are too single and boring. That's to say , parents in rural areas lack professional knowledge in education and they overlook the leading position of children, family education is ineffective. In addition, the system and the organization need to be perfected in rural areas. Besides, parents lack the instruction of personnel in a specific field. As a result, it makes family education has little effect.The data was collected from 700 junior middle school students from two middle schools in Nansha. We made the questionnaires "Assessing questionnaire of the conditions in family education" as research tools. We have interviewed some teachers and students and have made a close individual observation. The study shows that the family education condition of junior school students in the rural area of the Pearl River Delta is poor and the education content and educational methods have many weaknesses as well. Therefore, it's high time the government took some measures, the school provided them a good education and effective guidance and the family paid enough attention to renew education concept and improve the educational methods. As is known to all, the environment made by schools, society and families has a great influence on students. Family education, needless to say, as the base, as the primary factor of education, needs to be strengthened. It has caused great concern of the whole society. Let's take action hand in hand to make our children grow up healthy and sound.
