Study On The Interactive Development Between Institutions Of Higher Learning And Construction Of Cultural Cities

With the development of society, the function that colleges and universities serve the society is more and more prominent. Colleges and universities serve the society through fostering the talents, and many graduates stay in the cities which are regarded as the disseminator and successor of social culture. They not only create material culture of city, but create spiritual culture, which play an important role for the construction of culture city.The culture is soul of a city, which is an important factor deciding the status, savor and attraction of a city .Judging whether a city has competitive power, we focus on its culture, including cultural resources, cultural surrounding and its culture level of development.This dissertation is divided four parts. The first part is about the definition of some concepts and its analysis, including what is culture, what is culture city, and what's the relationship between cultural city and urban culture .what's more, the first part analyzes the connotation, characteristics and function of cultural city. The second part is about the common relationship between the institutions of higher learning and cultural city from the theoretic level. The third part is focused on the present situation between the institutions of higher learning and cultural city, analyzing the existent major problems and its reasons .The fourth part of this dissertation is putting forward some good interactive suggestions by analyzing their necessity and possibility on the process of interaction.When discussing the interactive relationship, we should acknowledge that the potentiality of colleges and universities is the impetus for the development of culture, at the same time, colleges and universities have great effect on the development of the city from many aspects and from many levels. Colleges and universities are important parts of city, not only in economy, but in culture. But how to provide a practical operation system for the city construction in the culture theory is an urgent question for the present research. But this dissertation can't give a reference in the data and model, which is a pity.The era of knowledge economy has endowed with colleges and universities more challenge and opportunities and higher education will face a reforming time. No matter Western developed country or the Asian, African and Latin American developing country, the competence between colleges and universities will get more and more intensive. Colleges and universities are taking action to adopting their role in the social activities. In 21st century, colleges and universities will form a mutually beneficial cooperation of win-win relations. The cultural city and higher education's interactive relations are getting more and closer.
