Integrity is a traditional virtue valued and praised by the Chinese. With the gradual deepened reform in socialist market economy system and the quickened economical progress after China's entering WTO, the citizen's integrity has been confronted with new requirements. However, as the whole society is under transformation, an unprecedented integrity crisis has loomed large over almost all fields in China at the present age. Undergraduates as a special colony have been greatly influenced. Therefore, it has become an important concern as how to enhance quality education for the undergraduates and improve education quality by studying the status quo of integrity. Based on analyzing the connotation of integrity education and started from the phenomenon of integrity shortage among the undergraduates, this thesis introduces some theoretical achievements in economics, psychology, sociology, law, etc. to anatomize the causes as well as social impacts. Furthermore, with a view to ideally solving the problem of integrity shortage, an emphasis is place on how to construct a integrity education mechanism in which society, universities and families are all involved. This is the very purpose to which the thesis aims at to realize its theoretical and practical values.
