At the present time, the society is a fast-paced society. It needs to express and transmit each kind of information timely and accurately. So the society needs more personnel to emphasize the oral communication ability. Oral communication teaching becomes more and more important for the secondary vocational school students to improve their oral communication ability and further development. And also it will have a profound impact for new joy-seeker on society. Therefore, in recent years, oral communication teaching in secondary vocational schools has been paid more attention。But overall, the quality of oral communication teaching is not satisfied. Because, for a long time, reading, writing and understanding are stressed and hearing and expressing are neglected in Chinese language teaching. Research for spoken language teaching is relatively limited. Especially under the situation which literacy class is generally not taken care in secondary vocational school, oral communication teaching is dispensable and is dealt with superficially. In the cause, the starting point of oral communication teaching in secondary vocational school is low, and development is slow. This situation has affected the quality of oral communication teaching in vocational school extremely. Simultaneously, also cannot satisfy the intense need of the students by far to sharpen the oral communication ability. Well, how to carry on oral communication teaching with an efficient, scientific and orderly manner to enhance students'oral communication capabilities becomes a question which has be faced and solved urgently for our language teaching in vocational schools.This paper is based on visits and investigation in different schools, different specialized, the different grades, as well as professional employment of graduates to find out the present situation of oral communication teaching and their demands in duty schools through. Then the author put forward the target—oriented corrective measure.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part: Taking American society linguist Himes"human relations ability"as the theoretical basis, outlines the characteristics and related contents of oral communication teaching.The second Part: Analyzing the gap between domestic and foreign in oral communication teaching, provides reference for the duty schools in oral communication teaching.The third Part: Through analysing two questionnaires in the students in school and the employed graduates, summarizes the current status and the existing problems in oral communication teaching, and provides the basis to propose improvement measures.The forth Part: From the age character of the students and the development of the students, seeks the important meaning in oral communication teaching. And from the practical point of view, discusses the way and countermeasure to raise the students'ability of oral communication.
