An Example Teaching Plan Of The New Mathematics Curriculum: The Inequaity Of Average Value

With the boom of reform on new curriculum, teaching philosophy is being changed accordingly. Compared with old editions, the latest teaching materials used in Jiangsu Province have gone through great changes, both in the contents and the layout. Teaching materials for mathematics are of no exception. Exploring in this new situation, teachers as well as students are faced with great challenges. It is necessary that we math teachers should spare no effort to reflect our teaching methods, improve the teaching efficiency and enhance our theoretical and practical levels.The paper in itself is a better knowledge and a deeper understanding of reform on new curriculum, based on the study on how to teach Inequality of Average Value, a unit in the new teaching material intended for Senior One students. The paper can be divided into four parts. First, my study on and my understanding of basic inequalities. Second, the analysis of the contents of the new teaching material, based on the comparison between the former teaching material and the current teaching material. Third, introduction of my lesson plan. Last, introduction of my teaching practice and presentation.The paper targets the approaches to cultivating students'interest in learning mathematics, to assisting them with proper methods wisely given, to developing their logical thinking ability, and to maintaining sustainable development of their potential in studying mathematics.
