The problem of how to improve the ability for those with some difficulties in Chinese learning is a big concern for educators in Chinese. Not only does it influence the teaching schedule, but also it exerts pressures both for schools and for families.It is, therefore, crucial to solve this problem, which is indispensable for carrying out the educational policy from exam-oriented to quality-oriented.This paper starts with a theoretical discussion of the underachievements in general, then moves to a study on the cause of the underachievers in Chinese language learning.The cause falls into internal factors and external factors, with the external factors acting upon the internal factors. Internal factors include cognitive factors and noncognitive factors. External factors are affected by the atmosphere of school, family and society. In order to know the influence the controllable factors within the reach of teachers deliver on the underachiever, I did sime research on the cause of underachievers. Guided by the theory discussed, this research is based on lots of investigations, I found out the prominent factors such as motive, interest, strategy and learning habits are found to be the major ones.This text puts the point to help to teach with convert the aspect in what juniors living, and try from the mental state aspect in school,family that living to come with juniors to become a the kind resultant force juniors in helping them.
