The mining and protection of the Olympic legacy is both the expectation of International Olympic Committee, and the goal of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee.In the year of 2008, the Olympic flame that oriented from the Western will kindle in this ancient civilized country, China. Having a good Olympics is not our only goal. The Olympic legacy is the most important thing to evaluate the Olympics, and its importance will exceed the holding Olympics itself. So, what is the Olympic Games legacy?In the article ,several methods have been used to analyze and define the Olympic legacy, such as literature reference, interview with experts, logical induction, compare and analysis. At first it defines the concept of Beijing Olympics legacy. "Beijing Olympics legacy " refers to the whole fortune created and left by China during the bidding, preparing and holding Beijing Olympic Games. And base on this, the author make the observation and consideration through three way, the visible and the invisible legacy, the domestic and the international legacy, the sports and the super-sports legacy. The study result indicates that, Beijing 2008 Olympics legacy is multi-dimensional. There are visible legacy such as the scene of the city holding Olympics games, the Olympics stadium building, the Olympics visualize mark, the Olympics human resource, and there are also invisible legacy including the design idea with Chinese characteristic, the opening ceremony with Chinese style and the socialistic operation mode. The legacy is benefit to Beijing with the promotion of national solidarity and social civilization, and it also belongs to the whole world, since it makes Olympics an unprecedented spread in the global scope, and makes such a excellent contribution to the human peace. The legacy accelerates the development not only in the sports enterprise but also in politics, economy, culture, education and art. Of course, They can not be divided and will not exist completely independent, and they are all priceless treasure left by Beijing 2008 Olympics.Finally, the author make some suggestions on how to realize Olympic legacy in many aspects, such as establish authoritative evaluation system, construct the normative law environment, build Beijing Olympics museum, enhance Olympics research, develop Chinese traditional gymnastic culture, promot the continuable economy after the Olympic Games, establish more perfect athletics sports system, promote the level of people's participation in sports, and flourish the schooling enterprise.
