Study On The Construction Of Campus Culture For Higher Vocational Institutes

Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education. It has had a speedy growth since 1980s. Now, it has occupied half of the country in higher education, which draws more and more attention from economic field to the whole society as an educational type. Higher vocational institutes are the universities and machineries which do higher vocational education. The Party and government's policies of advancing higher vocational education provide opportunities for the development of higher vocational institutes.Campus culture is a dynamic developing system set up by school administrators, teachers, students and staff, during they are engaged in managing, teaching, learning and entertaining in the particular environment of the campus. It takes the physical culture as a carrier, the institutional culture as a security and the psychic culture as a core. Campus culture of higher vocational institutes is a subordinative definition. It is based on the special educational type of higher vocational education, formed in the particular region of higher vocational institutes and found by all the people in higher vocational institutes. Campus culture of higher vocational institutes includes some fundamental characters, such as professional, social, practical, characteristic and fusion.The construction of campus culture covers all aspects of higher vocational institutes and means a lot to the development of higher vocational institutes. From the angle of external environment, improving the construction of campus culture complies with the trend of the development of social culture. It is the mission of higher vocational institutes, as the social cultural machineries. From the angle of internal environment, the construction of campus culture is helpful to unit the force, improve management and raise the quality of training talents.
