A Research On The Relation Among Work-Family Conflict Of Middle School Teachers, Personality Trait And Quality Of Life

The harmony of work and family is one of important facets in building harmonious society. With the increasing competition in the society, work-family conflict has become a growing topic of interest among researchers. The article researches on the relation among work-family conflict of middle school teachers, personality trait and quality of life and examines the mechanism of professional work-family conflict of middle school teachers to reduce their work-family conflict, improve their quality of life. Bases on the existing relevant studies, the present research uses the methods of questionnaire to research middle school teachers in Hunan Province. The number of effective subjects is 427.The main results are as follows:First, middle school teachers experienced more work-to-family conflict than family-to-work conflict. There are significant differences in many demographic respects of work-family conflict,including age,professional titles, length of teaching, marital status, school type, and so on. Second, there are remarkable positive correlations between type A/B personality trait and all the factors of work-family conflict. Type A/B personality trait is remarkable negatively related to quality of life.And quality of life is notable negatively related to all the factors of work-family conflict, except behavior-based conflict. There is significant difference between high work-family conflict and low work-family conflict on quality of life.Third, type A/B personality trait can positively direct forecast all the factors of work-family conflict, at the same time, it can indirectly forecast quality of life through work-family conflict. In the process that type A/B personality trait influencing to the quality of life, the work-family conflict play a part in the middle. Stain-based conflict can significantly forecast quality of life.
