As to science textbook of Junior high school, we established a system of guidelines to evaluation for spirit of science, in order to enrich the system of guidelines to evaluation in Science course. Base on that system, studying the spirit of science embodiment in science textbook of Junior high school would promote the goal's accomplishment in Science course: improve students'culture of the spirit of science, and finally improve their Science Literacy.The chief methods of this study are data analyzing, questionnaire, and experiment. Through related data searching, reading, analyzing, and questionnaire designing, delivering and retrieving, plus reading, analyzing, generalizing science textbook, connecting lessons listening, communicating with teachers from junior high school, Colleges and Universities, we accomplished this study.Studying the inner and outer meaning of the spirit of science, we have cleared the definition of the spirit of science in Science course of Junior high school. Base on the definition, we established the system of guidelines to evaluation for spirit of science. Take the science textbooks of East China Normal University and Zhejiang Education edition as our investigated subjection, we studied the embodiment of the spirit of science in selected samples, and then proposed some suggestion about perfecting this science textbook and better using it.On the basis of research, that questionnaire which is established by author, the Guttman Coefficient is 0.95.Through the research on science textbooks of East China Normal University, there are ten guidelines to cancel and four for adjusting. Therefore, it is much more suitable as the system of guidelines to evaluation for spirit of science to science textbook. Totally, it is comparatively abundant for the embodiment of the spirit of science in both two science textbook editions, part of them need adjusting. Finally, we got some conclusions base on this research. First of all, the adjusted system of guidelines to evaluation for spirit of science can be used in analysis science textbooks. Secondly, it is quite abundant in both two science textbook editions for embodying the scientific recognizing manner, scientific emotion and value. The skepticism in scientific attitude needs to be strengthened. At last, there is some diversity in spirit of originality innovation's embodiment and the science textbook of East China Normal University edition is much more abundant in displaying spirit of science. According to the conclusions, we proposed some suggestions for perfecting and using science textbook, in the aim of culture students'spirit of science.
