| Since September 2004, the city of Wuhan has been promoting a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum of the integrated science classes among the middle schools around the city. The core idea is to improve each student's scientific literacy, so that they can lay the foundation for the development of their whole lives. Compared with the various branches of the curriculum, interdisciplinary science course aims to cross the limits of subjects, co-ordinate the design, make overall plans and emphasize mutual infiltration and associated integration between different areas of knowledge. This course will help students understand nature and science overall, and create the open structure of knowledge according to the unified scientific concepts, principles and links between in various fields of knowledge. It can do good to transfer of knowledge for students and development of their abilities to learn. It is good for the overall capacity-building of their exploring the science, so that students can receive a comprehensive training of scientific methods. It makes students give more comprehensive concern and analysis on science and technology-related issues of social life in order to get better understanding about relations of science, technology and society. Therefore, to construct the new curriculum science course evaluation system, we need to focus on the evaluation process, stress on of the participation of the evaluation main targets, pay much attention to diverse methods of evaluation to promote the development of the evaluation targets as the fundamental purpose and focus on diagnosis, guidance, encouragement, teaching and other functions of teaching evaluation.Starting with domestic and international history and current situation of the basic education evaluation system, this thesis takes Britain for example and makes comparison of the development trend and the present status between the science curriculums at home and abroad. It also expounds related concepts of evaluation and the basis of the theory to establish the science curriculum evaluation system. Then it analyzes on value orientations and fundamental principles of building a science curriculum evaluation system. On this basis, it finally raises a 7-9 grade science curriculum evaluation system roughly in the combination of the author's first-line teaching experience, explains how the evaluation system works in teaching practice, and strives for providing some references for the foundation of junior middle school science curriculum evaluation system in our city. |
