The college entrance examination is a topic which the public extremely pay attention to. Also, it is a problem which is watched by all countries in the world. At present, geography is one of arts subjects in all the college entrance examination'subjects. Because geography has the following characteristics, such as: the regional and the integrated, it plays an important part in arts subjects of the college entrance examination. Therefore, how to grasp middle school's geography teaching is a profound problem that is considered by each middle school geography educator."The test is an important method that is used to check teaching effects, obtain the feedback information, evaluate the students'academic achievements and measure whether to achieve the teaching goal. Also, it is an important means which is used to check every school's teaching quality."①Therefore, analyzing geography test questions can find out the gain and loss of teaching besides preparing a lesson and teaching it in geography teaching. The college entrance examination test questions is the most authoritative ones in all kinds of test questions, so the research on the college entrance examination test questions can be an efficient way to improve geography teaching without doubt. This writer of the article has studied seven sets of national geography college entrance examination test questions which were used by the Inner Mongolian area (2001----in 2007) using the method of induction, statistical approach, the analytic method and the synthesis method. Besides, the writer has analyzed the college entrance examination test questions one by one from the test content and the test goal aspect. Firstly, four kinds of geography knowledge are analyzed from test content aspect.①Physical geography and human geography knowledge;②Region geography and system geography knowledge;③Junior middle school geography and high middle school geography knowledge;④The geography topic knowledge. The writer uses the schedule method to carry on the classification, the statistics to each test question. Basing on this, the writer summarizes the test question distribution and the change characteristic separately. Secondly, the writer has analyzed the geography ability from the test goal aspect, including four geography abilities specifically①Gain and explanation information ability,②Transfer and utilization knowledge ability,③Description and elaboration things ability,④Proof and inquisition question ability. Thirdly, the writer has summarized the main following features of the college entrance examination geography test questions in recent years by analyzing the test questions detailedly.①In discipline synthesis and interdisciplinary comprehensive characteristic,②The prominent branch knowledge, it does not avoid the knowledge spot tested,③Taking the region as the carrier, the union society hot spot and the realistic question,④Using the geography graphic system, manifests the geography discipline characteristic. Finally, the writer has proposed target-oriented four geography teaching suggestions:①Comprehensive test question teaching methods,②Prominent branch knowledge,③Geography space orientation methods,④Geography graph teaching methods,⑤Geography learning methods.
