As the guarantee to foster the qualified personnel, education is considered more and more importantly in the internationalized, scientific and diversified times of the knowledge economy. In order to advance the quality-oriented education and develop the creativity of students, for the first time, the Ministry of Education pusts forward research—studied learning in senior middle schools in China and calls on people to pay attention to it. Being an organic part of the"comprehensive and practical activity"in the system of basic educational curriculum, the research study is drawn more and more attention to. There are two opinions about the research study in Chinese education circles. One is explained from the aspect of curriculum and the other is explained from the aspect of the learning methods. The paper talks about the research study as a learning method.Research—studied learning is a way of learning by which learners choose the subject from their life and research it initiatively. Based on the definition, the paper tries to demonstrate the practicability and efficiency of the reseasch study in Chinese education in middle schools. Thus, the paper puts forward the concrete operating process of the research study and provides an idea for putting the research study into practice. The paper starts with the background of times for carrying out the research study, then introduces the definition and puts forward concrete methods to operate it in middle schools.
