The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of project teaching method on the professional course learning status of tourism major students in secondary vocational schools.The study took two classes of tourism major in A secondary vocational school as the research object,carried out the educational experiment research of project teaching method in the course of "Alcohol Knowledge and Service Skills" for a semester,in order to investigate the influence and role of project teaching method on the learning status of tourism major students in secondary vocational school.According to the requirements of the experimental method,the two homogeneous classes that have been strictly matched adopt different teaching methods: the experimental class adopts the project teaching method,while the control class still adopts the traditional teaching method to carry out teaching.The "Learning Motivation Scale","Learning Engagement Scale" and "Closed Questionnaire of Learning Interest" were measured before and after the experiment.There was no significant difference in the pretest results between the two groups,indicating that they were homogenous.After 16 weeks of project teaching activities in the experimental class,it is found that project teaching method has a significant effect on improving the learning status of tourism major students in secondary vocational schools.Teaching after the implementation of project teaching method,experimental classes in "endogenous motivation","exogenous motivation","vigor","dedication","focus","pleasure and functional","congenial" seven factor scores and learning motivation scale,the study on the investment scale,interest in learning on the enclosed questionnaire is always divide were significantly higher than that in comparative classes.In "boring","boredom",and "helplessness" three factor scores and learning interest on enclosed questionnaire on negative total split,experimental classes was significantly lower than that in comparative classes(learning interest enclosed questionnaire tasteless,boredom and helplessness of the three negative factors and the smaller the average total score shows interest in learning condition,the better);However,there was no significant difference in the scores of superiority and leisure between the two classes.This shows that the improvement of the experimental class in learning motivation,learning investment and learning interest is mainly due to the implementation of the project teaching method.Using SPSS23.0 to analyze the data,according to the quantitative analysis results,combined with the classroom observation and interview data as well as the case of the learning experience of the text data for qualitative analysis,the following conclusion is drawn: project teaching method can significantly improve the learning status of secondary vocational tourism major students.Project teaching method is suitable for the characteristics of the secondary vocational tourism professional students love and good at practical,can help them on course to achieve learning by doing,let them experience success in the process of doing,have a sense of accomplishment,self-confidence,to stimulate their interest in learning,enhance their learning motivation,encouraging them to increase learning investment,ultimately improve their learning,improve the teaching effect of this course.Therefore,project teaching method is an effective method to help improve the learning status of professional courses of tourism major students in secondary vocational schools,and enhance the teaching effect of professional courses of tourism major in secondary vocational schools.It plays a certain role in improving the teaching quality of current secondary vocational schools and promoting the connotation development of secondary vocational education.
