21century is a new age that will be more challenging and more exciting,the cooperation among the nations in the world will be closer and wider,intercultural communions will be more frequent,and the mankind civilization may reach a higher stagein this century. It is a more urgent task to train a large number of excellent talents who have not only battle specialty skill but also stronger ability of intercultural communication.The Chinese一English bilingual teaching is just a new trial to realize this target in the reform of the teaching. This thesis practises and researches into the process of biology bilingual teaching to the senior high school students.In our school,the conditions are different from the east of China.There has significance to attempt this teaching method.First,it discuss some basic concepts about bilingual teaching, the aims and significance to develop bilingual teaching.It points out that the bilingual teaching in our country is teaching some non-language courses in English ,such as chemistry, physics, biology, geography, music,and arts.It's aim is to develop students'English skills, especially their skills to read science articles and their communicative competence.The article summarizes the present situations of our domestic and foreign bilingual teaching.Our domestic bilingual teaching starts rencently and it is implemented only in some big or middle cities which are in coast or east areas.It intruduces their experiences and the problems.It also summarizes some main theories of bilingual teaching that have been approved by most scholars,such as Think Tank Theory and threshold theory.English+Chinese bilingual education program in Chang Chun Foreign Language School and its related primary school emerged as times required.All of the researchers in this program are studying postgraduate courses in Chang Chun Foreign Language School.We all have been teaching English in Liuzhou Normal School more than four years.Since we have taken part in many research programs at school,we are capable enough to conduct this task.. The program took 400 students in Chang Chun Foreing Languages School as the viewed objects. It took us one years to finish the program.Based upon the result of data analysis,conclusion can be drawn:bilingual teaching will foster students to study hard.As1ong as biology bilingual teaching is comprehensible input,not only biology bu talso English will deveiop.This method advance subject study,because students have stronger motive on bilingual teaching.
