The application of English within the world is more and more important in the recent years, primarily owing to the trend of globalization, the wide use of internet, and more chances of international communication. The international foreign language researchers have focused their attention on the idea of bilingual teaching, which aims to improve the citizens` foreign language level and becomes an essential aspect of foreign language reformation. In china, bilingual teaching has been carried out in some developed regions, such as Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi, Liaoning with advanced system.Bilingual teaching is a new demand for the development of society. This sort of teaching demands new textbooks and new approaches to learning. Thus, all teachers face great challenges in terms of their language ability, subject expertise, teaching skills and methodology. What is bilingual teaching? What is the key to carry it out? How should we carry it out? The above-mentioned questions should be discussed.The following is practical value of this thesis. It integrates closely with the middle bilingual biology teaching and sets forth if bilingual teaching is able to be developed in shanghai ordinary junior middle school.This thesis consists of four parts. The first part explains the concept of bilingual teaching and sets forth theory. The second part introduces condition of bilingual teaching in the world and in China. The third parts are the main body, introducing my experience of bilingual teaching and making an in-depth analysis of it. The forth part concludes this paper.
