Studies On Vocational Education Of Fengtian Province In The Early Years Of The Republic Of China (1912-1929)

Vocational education of Fengtian Province in the early years of the Republic of the China, influenced by western countries, came to rise from industrial education germ against a background of a country-wide vocational education aroused in the end of the Qing Dynasty. Meanwhile, the first years of the Republic of China are important stage for transformation and development of vocational education in Fengtian Province. Within that stage, 18 years, kind of short, this education made great leap forward, and took over industrial education there. Exploring and following up a path, it reached accomplishment and failure both, experience and lesson as well.This paper observes fully vocational education of Fengtian Province as much as possible in the years of 1912-1929, proceeding with from angles of education history and society history. With truly presenting its reality, the author probes into the causes to arouse and develop, and analyses its development's features, and reveals its influences on development of Fengtian Province within this 18-year stage. By summarizing experiences and drawing lessons, this paper approaches its law of development, as very valuable data, which can be used for reference and motive force to vocational education reform and development of Liaoning Province today.This paper is organized as follows: The first part is intended to discuss vocational education origin of Fengtian Province in the end of the Qing Dynasty. And more facts about that are displayed;The second part gives a full observation about vocational education development of Fengtian Province in the early years of the Republic of China. What's more, this part displays its development data, and specially approaches causes in detail. For example, the propaganda of vocational education produced a heavy vocational education atmosphere; the will of economic revival stimulated economic development; the government leading factor advanced the progress of vocational education in Fengtian Province, etc;The third part goes into details about administration and measure of vocational education in Fengtian Province, which include five aspects, such as quality management, staff training, reinforced measure, curriculum, enrollment & coaching, and so on;The forth part expounds vocational education features of Fengtian Province in the time of 1912-1929, and gives an objective evaluation. All in all, the vocational education of Fengtian Province has various features, like complicated development path, social adjustment, and setting-up of demand. As a miniature of modern times education in three provinces of Northeast China, it became forerunners of application to western advanced education, and aroused Chinese people to come to realize it, and prepared the solid ground for local national industry development. Further more, it promoted educational modernization, and facilitated the progress of modern society, and brought changes into society, and underwent a change of people's knowledge structure and thought pattern, and broke through the boundary between"Eight Banners"and common people, and eased up livelihood in modern Chinese society. Therefore, it is viewed that vocational education produced important effects to every respect of Fengtian Province.
