As the number of minority students in the island getting bigger and bigger, to study their accommodation of the environment in the island as well as the relationship between the accommodation and ethnic identity has been a very important issue. In this paper, we choose the Uighur adolescents as the swatch, the structure and status of the social accommodation of the minority adolescents, the ethnic identity of minority as well as its relationship with accommodation of the environment have been studied. We arranged a questionnaire to the minority adolescents based on coordinating some of the forms and collecting some of the related programs, and then the questionnaire about the accommodation of the environment of the minority adolescents was figured out by a period pre-investigation(N= 244). We took totally 427 students of young Uighur of The First Middle School of Wuhan and the Huazhong Normal University whose average age are between 17 and 23 as the swatch to perform the final investigation and the result are as below:1. There are totally 22 items in the questionnaire and it got good reliability and validity.2. There are five dimensions in this questionnaire: adaptation on life, learning, human relationships, social cultural adaptation and psychological adaptation.3. Overall, the social adaptation of Uighur adolescents is at a higher level than the average. The interpersonal adaptation is at the best condition of the five dimensions, the overall situation of adaptation about learning, social and cultural and psychological is between a little difficulty and moderate degree of difficulty. About the life and learning adaptation, the high middle school students is much better than the college students. It is obviously that the more they have friends of Han nationality, the better they adapt to the society, and it is the inflection point when the number of good friends of Han nationality is from 3 to 10, so the number of friends of Han nationality has a great impact on the social adaptation.4.There are three stages in the social adaptation of Uighur adolescents in high school, the three stage is the contact, the interesting and exciting, thinking. In the university stage, there are two development stages because of their better recognition ability. To the surface social adaptation such as the adaptation about life, study and interpersonal communication, firstly they can not adapt well during the beginning of contact with their friends of Han nationality, but after they leave in Han for a longer time, it gets good. To the deeper level adaptation about the social, cultural and psychological, there are three stages: the exciting stage, the thinking stage, and the stable stage. 5. The Uighur adolescents is approbatory to both my own ethnic identity and Chinese Nation identity, my own ethnic identity is more strongly to Chinese Nation identity. The dimension of cognition and behavior is at a higher level about my own ethnic identity, but they get a higher approbatory to Chinese Nation identity in emotional dimension. There are generally three stages about the ethnic identity of Uighur : that is longing, re-locating and stable.6. It is significantly related between the ethinic identity and social adaptation. The dimension of the evaluation and behavior about the recognition of Chinese Nation identity has a strongly correlation to the adaptation of interpersonal relationships; the cognitive, emotional and behavioral dimensions of the recognition of Chinese Nation identity has a significant correlation to adaptation of living. The dimension of evaluation to my own ethnic identity is strongly correlated to the adaptation of interpersonal relationships, cultural and psychological, the emotional dimension of my own ethnic identity is correlated to the interpersonal relationships significantly.7. The ethnic identity of higher value about social adaptation is higher than those with lower value (both my own ethnic identity and Chinese Nation identity). The social adaptation ability of those with higher score about my own ethnic identity is better than the lower scores, especially about the adaptation of interpersonal, social cultural and psychological; the existing ability of those with higher score about Chinese Nation identity is better than the lowers.8. We can not test the social adaptation ability of the high middle school students of Uighur because their ethnic identity is not stable; the regression coefficients of ethnic identity and social adaptation of university students is high, which means the more they recognize their ethnic identity the better they can adapt in the inland.
