The Principle of the Quality-Oriented Education is:"Have all students developed all sidedly". But the Physics teaching in Middle School, in the long term,was trapped in the traditionally exam-oriented education,the recruited rate of students passing the extence exam was alway put into first place,which make the students in poor performance in physics become more and more.if we cannot convert the students into a higher level,we cannot improve the conprehensive ability of all the students.so research on the conversion of lagged -behind students in physics would be an importance part of deeping and developing the quality-oriented exam.Through the observation , analysis ,home visit, and general investigation into the poor performance students in subject—Physics ,this paper has launched a primary exploration for the reason and conversion strategy on the students who are poorly -performed in Physics in the grade 2006 in No.1 middle school in Baoding. The first 2 parts of the paper are based on basic research on the lagged-behind students, take advantage of the modern education view, clearly define the poorly performance student and also explore the reason why students are weak in Physics. And in Third part of the paper, the statistics analysis on the reason for the poor performance students has been conducted. Through the analysis, we find the main reason is due to the non-intellectual factors, among which the motivation of the study, interest, method, basis, and the perseverance are very prominent. There are alot of reasons causing the poor performance of the students in physics, among which teacher is one of the reason.According to the opinion of the old education specialist,: there are no students who cannot learn well, Not allthe teachers can teach well.so it is the teacher 's full responsiblity to guide lagged behind students in a right track.And the influence of the relations between classmates, teacher-to- students, and family members on the students also cannot be neglected Aiming to the teacher- students lagged behinde relation, the characteristic of family , social background in the fourth part, I've had a research on the conversion strategy to the students weak in physics and also generalize the methods of achieving the conversion purpose. For example ,stimulating the motivation of the students in physics , fostering the interest of the students to physics; fostering the well volition quality of the students, stimulating the actively feeling experience of the students, Improve the relationships between teachers and students, and expand the function of the"expectation of the teacher", combining the family and school together in education; strengthening guide to the study of students. improving the cogonative sense of them and teaching method. so many methods have been adopted in class teaching: teaching according to the questions of students; teaching of exploration into students, demonstration and experimentation.and also I used so many mordern educational technics. in the fifth part, based on the analysis to the reason causing the poor performance of the students in physics and execution of the strategy used in conversion of the students, a statistics and investigation has been conducted among some students in the school on their interest,passion and method in learning physics.Through the observation and research on the lagged-behinde students in physics,I feel , though there are alot of complicated reasons behind them among which the main reason in my eyes is the non-intellectual factor. so this would provide the possibility to the conversion work. the practise proves:if we care more , concern more to the lagged behind students, imporve our teaching conception and teaching method, the sudents lagged behind could be converted.
