Intelligence has been a hot topic in psychology for a hundred years. Researchers were from the biological, social and cognitive different perspectives, raised their intellectual theory to reveal the nature.Multiple intelligence theory explains the intellectual understanding from a new perspective, and the theory is concerned by the educationalists. In recent years, some countries in the West, multiple intelligence theory has become very effective in guiding ideology. Lots of schools offering multiple intelligence success prove that the practical significance of this theory.For such a long time, under the influence of exam-oriented education, school education only attach importance to the memory and using of text, either in teaching goal or teaching assessment, instead of the learning thinking only comes down to the ability of language and analyses, laying particular stress on scientific thinking and simplified it into the ability of replying questions quickly. While in the field of physical education, the mastery of skills is fundamental purpose as teaching and evaluation. The science developing, the demand to talents is getting more and more multiplied. Under the quality education, P.E. brings forward the tenet of educating people, to improve the general development of the children. In order we should efforts to change the nature of P.E. classes, only to do this, can we truly realize the quality education. All these various actions could inspire the students'interests, and improve the teaching effect.Multiple intelligence theory is consistent with the guiding principle of our education reform, the overall objective——to the development of each student, all students in the development, to the overall development of students, to personality development, cultivate a new generation of high-quality successors. In the new wave of educational reform, we explore in our search for a suitable youth development, growth and effective teaching methods.The theory has been widely used among many subjects. The theory in PE field is still less employed. Therefore I make the studies by using Multi-intelligences theory concerning the trait of PE teaching. I wish to promote the development of quality education and the conversion of poor-standard P·E student, and devise all kinds of teaching modes according to the practical theory, and meet the various demands of general development of different students.The objective of this thesis is to discuss appropriate of physical education teaching to help those poor-standard P.E. students to move away from their disadvantageous status using the theory of multiple intelligences.
