The report submitted to the UNESCO by International Education in the 21st Century Committee indicates that combating academic failure is an"urgent need"in the 21st century.At present, there are a large number of rural junior high school students with learning disabilitie in China. Several Opinions On Implementing Compulsory Education Law and further regulating compulsory education published by Ministry of Education on Aug. 24th ,2006 points out that we should establish and improve the working mechanism for assisting them and take more care and consideration of them.Family Education, which is the foundation to School and Social Education, is the basic factor affecting learning disabilities. Rural families, as disadvantaged group in terms of education in the modern society, live in poor literacy for a long time and pass the disadvantaged tradition from generation to generation, and therefore, the literacy of the rural population does not meet the development of agricultural modernization. In order to improve the rural population quality and their life quality. In this period of physical and mental development, junior high school students have various special contradictions, a series of psychological crisis; therefore, we should be more concerned about the rural junior high school students with learning disabilities.Good family education in rural areas is of great significance for building new socialist rural villages. Systematical theory studies on family factors affecting rural school underachievers can enrich and develop education theories and provide an operable model for realizing the combination of schools, families and social education.Based on extensive literature search and investigation, I designed a questionnaire for the families of them from Sijiazhuang Town NO.1 High School of Luquan City. Through studying the questionnaire, I analyzed the related family factors and tried to seek the solutions and apply the individual research conclusion to more extensive similar groups, discover or describe the general trend of the individuals or the case. The surveyed students were selected according specific standard and the questionnaire were issued and drawn back by the Teaching Affairs Department, and required information was satisfactorily acquired. Families, schools, society and the students are all contributing to the emergence of learning disabilities. However, for some specific students, families contribute more or have something to do with it, and the parents should pay more attention to it.This paper focuses on parents'occupation, parents'education degree, family financial condition, parents'expectation, evaluating methods, methods of educating kids and parents-kids communication and explains the relationship between the families'environment and children's academic achievement. Family library decided by parents'education degree, parents'learning habits and interests, family learning environment and academic atmosphere will influence parents'methods of educating kids and their expectation on kids, which are greatly influential to the kids'learning. Parents'occupations are closely linked to their education degree, and this has direct influence on their educating methods, contents and communicating with kids; family income has close relationship with parents'occupation.Finally, I tried to seek solutions from the aspects of Law on the Protection of Minors, school, families, rural communities and their combination and the students'active efforts in the hope of promoting comprehensive progress of them .
