A Research On The Parenting Style Of Children Of Floating Population

Accompany with the faster process of industrialization and urbanization,more rural migrants take family with themselves. Since 1990s,the population float is developed from " single personal floating " to " the whole move " .The family type turns a important characteristic of population foat.As a chief reason of household migration,the education of children of floating population is paid high attention by people.Among the education of children of floating population,family education is very pivotal and fundamental.As a very important part of the family education,the family parenting of floating population should more and more be paid attention to and studied.The paper chooses family parenting style of children of floating population as its study problem.After completing the summary about the family status of floating population,this paper mainly discuss the parenting belief and the parenting style typology of floating population. Among the parenting belief of floating population,the traditional parenting belief still keep the dominant positon,yet,the modern parenting belief begin to appear and deepen in the family of floating population.In the paper,according to the demandingness and responsiveness,the parentin style typology can be divided into democratic,authoritarian,neglective and natural.The paper is composed of six different chapters.The first chapter is introduction,firstly it gives the reason for choosing this problem for study.Then,it discuss some important concepts in this paper.Lastly,it is about the research approach,this paper use the qualitative research approach. .The second chapter is about documental research,the research on floating population,the education of children of floating population and family parenting style are reviewed.The third chapter introduce the family status of floating population,it is mainly composed by demographic composition,parental educational level,family income and parental profession.The fourth chapter disscuss the parenting belief of floating population,it analyze the traditional and modernal parenting belief from different dimension.The fifth chapter is the focus of this paper,it mainly discuss the parenting style typology of floating population.According to the different demandingness and responsiveness,the family of floating population is divided into democratic,authoritarian,neglective and natural.The sixth chapter is the discussion and conclusion,firstly,it deepen the acknowledgement about parenting style of floating population,then it come to some conclusion about the parenting style,at last,it pose some problem for study in the future.
